There are about 400 young Tennisplayers at the ages 13 to 16 finding every year
their way to the Mercedes Youth Cup in Renningen and Rutesheim. The shared
dream among them all is to play a professional tournament one day. And there
is hardly another tournament that supports this step this quick. The winner
of Boys 16&under receives a Wild Card for the qualification at the Mercedes
Cup at Stuttgart Weissenhof!
From the Tennis Europe Tour to the ATP World Tour within less then a year - that might
only be possible at the Mercedes Youth Cup.
But this is not the only reason this tournament in the suburbs of Stuttgart is
named one of the best U16 tournaments in Europe for the last three years. "We
offer the youngsters a service which is usually only common at professional
tournaments", says tournament director Peter Rohsmann and names further reasons
for the success: Professional Shuttle Service (naturally with cars of the main-sponsor),
special hospitality, or the free Internet-Café among the many reasons that are appreciated
by players and coaches every year.
And the winner of the Girls 16&under as well as the winners U14 don't leave
empty-handed: They could pick between a free equipment contract with Co-sponsor
Head or a training-week at the Equelite Tennis Academy founded by the French
Open Winner Juan Carlos Ferrero in Valencia.
Therefore the "Stars of tomorrow" will show up again next year. The Mercedes
Youth Cup 2010 takes place in the week 16th to 22nd August at the TSC Renningen
(main venue) and the TC Rutesheim (second venue)
